About Our Organization
Open Door Ministries is a faith-based community development organization committed to showing mercy, building community, and making disciples for Christ in urban Denver.
We exist to provide practical help and hope to people who are homeless or low income. Our primary objective is to move people toward self-sufficiency by helping change circumstances and life patterns that have help people captive to poverty and addictions.
Through 15 distinct programs, we focus on tangible needs like housing, education, and employment training. We also seek to provide intangible needs such as friendship, hope, and Christian guidance. We strive to see people succeed by surrounding them with support, holistically empowering them to overcome obstacles, attain self-sufficiency, and thrive.
Open Door to Success is a job readiness training program with a support strategy that enables participants to be successful in finding and maintaining meaningful employment.

The Table Each Sunday after the worship service at Open Door Fellowship, a free meal is served promoting evangelism and fellowship.
TRYAD is a discipleship ministry to the disabled in our community providing needed companionship and evangelism at our weekly lunch and other activities.
The Learning Center runs preschool and school-age programs in an effort to provide practical assistance to low-income families and to break the cycle of insufficient education that leads to poverty.
Cornerstone is a home for disabled men that teaches them to live as a team, learning to help one another.
The LightHouse provides a safe, caring, and sober environment for those struggling with addictions and other issues. Our main focus is to provide a community that fosters spiritual, emotional, educational, and vocational growth.
Nehemiah Leadership Hall provides housing, community, and training for young emerging urban leaders who are serving at Open Door or around the Denver Urban Community.
Still Waters Housing provides safe transitional housing for women leaving homelessness, addictions, and the sex industry.
